SARAD SAMMAN ANNOUNCED IN SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 19th October, 2015: WE FEEL, a Siliguri-based leading social welfare society of West, has selected four Durga pujas in Siliguri, who will be awarded the Sreshtha Durgotsav 2015 titles for overall excellence. The popular awards were decided mainly on the basis of voting through SMS, Whatsapp and other social networks, while the winner of the jury award was decided on the basis of an internal assessment conducted by senior members of the society. The awards will be handed over to the winners at their respective puja pandals on the Mahasaptami day on October 20, 2015. The Secretary of the society Mrs. Dipika Biswas said to TNI “Our main objective is to award puja committees, which have genuinely tried to provide maximum pleasure to all sections of the society through their pujas, keeping in mind the safety and convenience of pandal-hoppers and the sanctity, traditional fervor and community spirit of the festival. We do not have any commercial motive in awarding the pujas.” The society has selected three puja committees for the popular category award and one for the jury award.
